Well – our stay in Longreach has been extended as the road North West to Winton is flooded.

This gave us the opportunity to visit the Stockmans Hall of Fame

The day before – I also visited the Qantas Founders Museum

After an overnight stop in Roma, it was on to Longreach.

They have has some good rain here and the countryside was very green

Brisbane weather was at its best on Sunday which guaranteed a large turn-out at Lakeside Park Raceway.

Thunderbirds – Are Go……..

With a weather front on its way,  the race was on to finish before Saturday night.  It was a 4am wake-up on a sunny but foggy morning.

Robert and I dusted of the BMW and went down to the 2016 McLeans Bridge classic car show. This year it was held within the rifle range complex at Belmont. A great venue with plenty of space to see the cars.

My Pick?

A toss up between a British racing green E-Type Jaguar

and a Porsche Carrera 2.7 RS touring

Many of these cars we saw at the Bathurst 12Hr in early Feb
