Around 4.30 PM on Thursday 27th of November, Brisbane was hit by a storm wielding high winds, lashing rain and large hailstones.
Power was cut to around 90,000 homes at the height of the storm, winds reached in excess of 140kph and there were 6,000 lightning strikes.
The storm, which suspended train services and caused flash flooding in several areas, struck during peak hour on Thursday, causing traffic headaches across the city.
