Part museum with plenty of immaculately restored old trucks and part boneyard – a resting place for dead trucks and machinery.

We left Kakadu to begin our long trek home. We are now in Winton (after floodwaters prevented us getting here on the way up) after overnighting at Renner Springs and Mount ISA.

Our last day in Kakadu saw us hiking up to the Escarpment – stunning rock formations and views and an afternoon cruse on Yellow Waters billabong
