This weekend as far as the weather was concerned – had a bit of everything – Friday and Saturday were fine and very hot – track temps actually a little higher than Hockenheim the prevous weekend. Sunday saw cloudy condtions, a short sharp storm and a drying track for the race. Louis Hamilton started from pit lane after his car caught fire during qualifying and managed 3rd place, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso – a well deserved second and Ausie Daniel Ricciardo taking out first place. This was the first race that Jan and I have attended where an Australian has won.
